Examination Process

What are your steps at the end of course to receive MBA degree

Examinations & graduation process

To complete the SBS Online MBA, submit assignments for the 6 mandatory courses (plus any electives you've chosen), then write a final capstone business plan. All grading happens online — no travel required. Once your business plan is accepted, you receive the accredited MBA degree certificate from Singapore Business School. Nearly 89% of our students complete the program successfully — we support each one through the journey.

Each module assignment tests both your understanding of the material and your ability to apply it in a business context. Submissions are reviewed by SBS faculty online — typically within a few business days. There are no proctored exams, no travel, and no fixed schedule.

The final capstone business plan synthesizes everything you've learned — finance, marketing, leadership, strategy, and operations — into a comprehensive document you could realistically execute. Once accepted, your accredited MBA degree certificate is issued electronically along with a Transcript of Records (ToR).

What is the examination process?

Our examination consists of 2 stages:

During your education process, you should provide course reports upon the completion of each course. They are reviewed and graded as the first part of your examination.

The second part is the Capstone Project. This is a multi-faceted thesis assignment that serves as a culminating academic and intellectual experience for students. You need to represent all the knowledge you obtain during the course.

Most of our students prefer to research an industry or market and create a viable business plan for the realization in their country. Our tutors do their best to help students to make a relevant business plan for easy implementation in real life.
